I need to rant

U G H. Sleeping has been so horrific for us recently, my 6mo boy has been having 30-60 min wakes all night long (yes even with co-asleeping). I messaged the pediatrician because I was genuinely worried something was wrong, and wanted to check my boxes. Basically they said to do CIO and made me feel like I was failing my son for not doing it sooner. ALSO she said to “let him cry for 90 minutes and leave the room without returning or he will use his tears to manipulate you to pick him up” my jaw dropped. I’m not letting him cry it out, ever. I did it once on accident and genuinely felt like the worst mom ever. How can anyone sit there and let their baby cry for 90 MINUTES?!?! I’m so tired and would love to get some sleep, but you bet I’d sacrifice sleep for the rest of my life before letting my baby cry to exhaustion for rest.
