A locally well-known member of the ScoreGang (SCRG) Crips, known by the street monikers “Syxx” or “Syxx Shoota” (real name Airron Lee Matthews), was arrested and charged on August 10, 2026 by the Redford Township Police Department in connection with a violent carjacking \[[READ HERE](https://www.cbsnews.com/detroit/news/2-charged-deadly-shooting-redford-township-man/)\]. Matthews is alleged to be a younger cousin of Zahid “Tiny Joker” Sekou Matthews, a prominent member of the same organization. According to reports, Matthews (“Syxx”) and an unnamed 17-year-old associate allegedly lured a 63-year-old man to the area of Glendale and Woodbine streets in South Redford, near Thurston High School. The pair attempted to carjack the man at gunpoint. The theft reportedly went wrong, and the victim was shot and killed—allegedly by the juvenile associate. Syxx is described as a prominent younger member of “26G” (26Gang / Two-Syxx Gang), a junior clique operating under the broader W7M ScoreGang (SCRG) structure. He is also closely tied to his older cousins’ subgroup, the “24700 Blocc Crips,” a foundational and highly active set known locally for daytime robberies and extensive graffiti vandalism. Residents in the Five Points neighborhood and surrounding areas, along with law enforcement (including the Detroit Police Department), categorize the group as involved in a range of street-level criminal activity.
W7M ScoreGang—also referred to as W7M Evergreen Telegraph Gangster Crips or ETGC—operates primarily along Detroit’s West Seven Mile corridor. The organization maintains a structured pipeline: younger recruits handle low-level property crimes and tagging, while older adult members move into higher-stakes work such as drug distribution and firearm procurement. The core ScoreGang (SCRG) adult membership manages high-level street operations, territory defense, and illegal firearm sourcing. Adult members have also been linked to retail “smurfing” schemes—maximizing legal dispensary purchase limits to stockpile and illegally resell product. The 26G and Baby Hyenas Gang (BHG) function as the dedicated youth wing, deploying teenage recruits and minor members (“Baby Gangsters”) for retail thefts and burglaries, capitalizing on the lighter penalties associated with juvenile court.
