How do I take care of just a snail after betta has died?

Hi guys,

a couple of weeks ago unfortunately my Betta Frankie passed away from dropsy. There were no issues with the water or anything else so ive just left my nerite snail in the 5 gallon tank until I get a new Betta in a few months once I can move the tank to my college dorm. I was wondering what needs to be done to take care of her. How frequent should i do water changes since its only the snail in the tank (other than a few plants)? Also, will she have enough to eat? Ive been dropping in some tablets made for snails a couple times but im not sure how often she needs those. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
