My wife (34f) and I (35m) work together, been together 8 years with a young kid (5yrs old) we haven’t had a real fight since we’ve been together but the other day after I finished work and was on my way to enjoy an outdoor activity she asked if I finished part of our daily work, I told her no but that I checked on it and it wasn’t ready to be worked on. She kinda lashed out on me, told me I was pathetic, said I should just leave her, a few more insults and just a bunch of really out there stuff considering how happy of a couple we are. I was pretty butt hurt over it and didn’t respond much to any of it. Gave her a bit of the cold shoulder and space for about a day and a half. I came home from work today and we made up, she apologized and she wondered if it was due to some hormonal imbalance since her meds have changed. Anyways we were talking about how to fix things like this faster as she said she felt alone and sad about it but was also mad that I was giving her space while i sulked in my own sorrow (felt like I should be working harder etc. really took some of what she said to heart) and she told me next time I should try telling her in the moment that she’s acting crazy and hormonal. I laughed and said that would backfire and make things so much worse. She laughed and said a man has never told her that in a fight and that she doesn’t know how it would play out. I told her in my younger days I had called a couple girls crazy and that it 100% made things worse. Anyways curious if any of you have ever told a partner that they were being hormonal/crazy/irrational in the middle of a dispute and it actually worked out, as in they said “you know what your right, I am just acting crazy right now I’m so sorry honey” 😂 I just don’t see it being a possible outcome. Anyways here’s some birria tacos with home made blue corn masa tortillas and consumes

Has this ever worked for you
