My dad got this blanket when he was 12(in 1988) when apparently he and all his family got waterbeds for Christmas that year(Christmas in July i guess). He kept the bedding set even after they got rid of the waterbeds and kept it throughout most of his life, eventually loosing pieces here and there due to being well used. We had to toss it a few years ago after moving when it became so moldy he didn’t want to deal with the hassle of cleaning it, if it could even be cleaned at all. He was very disappointed and i could tell it meant more to him than he let on.

This is the only photo i have of it. It came out of a “bed-in-a-bag” set that came with the waterbed, likely from Springmaid, Wamsutta, or Springs Home(he doesn’t remember which). I’m not sure what you would call that pattern but i’ve been calling it abstract primary color watercolor, or abstract painterly print. I’ve searched on ebay, etsy, google lens, pinterest image search a few times, and even some vintage shops near me. I’ve found a couple very similar ones on ebay but never the exact one or one including a comforter, only the fitted sheet, flat sheet, and two pillow cases. Anyone else that could give me more information on the blanket/bedding set has long since passed so this is all i have to work with.
