Do the Wiimote speakers just not work in Dolphin without an adapter? I'm using official hardware and a Mayflash bar. Speaker sounds like crackling or robots.

Tried toggling the speakers on in the Config to test it out and each game I've tried sounds terrible. Did a quick google/reddit search and I see people talking about finding some old adapter? Is that the only way to get the speaker functional with Dolphin?
