The dream feels unattainable

25M with stay at home wife and two little kids. My dream is to be a pilot. I have no flight experience and no idea what it would look like to change careers. I’m currently in a job with good pay and long term potential. I’m being eaten by the economy so don’t have really any savings. Am I being delusional by wanting to follow the dream or deal with the suck for a few years while my kids are little and chase the dream?
