Y'all in Ontario cant even get registered as an apprentice?

WTF?

Why is there so many comments about how hard it is to get registered as an apprentice. Here in BC it happens almost immediately. There's also federal grants available to employers for doing so.

This is NOT an insult I am just curious why this is. The system must be different here. For instance here in BC you can write your Red Seal even if your hours aren't complete but as long as your schooling is. You just aren't issued the ticket until you get your hours.

Anyway I have never heard of anyone here struggling to get registered. Even if there is a delay or some hours are missed your paystub will have them. I get the economy is bad. But getting hired and getting registered as an apprentice are still 2 completely separate things.

Ontario must have different laws about this?
