40M: where to find people to play with?

As you can easily conclude from the question, I’m recently divorced. The flip side of the emotional, financial and physical wreckage is I can finally play guitar with others and don’t have to worry about meeting new people and practicing at anytime.

There’s a different problem though? How do I find people that want to play with me? I have a proper, "professional” 9-5 career, I need my 8 hours of sleep, my kids are on their way out. I have never played with a band regularly, I am a decent player (and I understand most of the other sub jokes). Where do you find other people that want to play? Am I just too old? Am I doomed to play in a Boston or Journey cover band?
