(photos as reference, names removed, included the picture with the RTV silicone sealant)

Hi everyone, looking for advice or to see if anyone else has dealt with this or know what I should do… I am Wisconsin based if that helps. 

I have a 2023 Nissan Rogue. At my last oil change (3/9), I took it to my local Nissan dealership. I went in 3-4 weeks ago to Jiffy Lube to get a quick oil change but they refused service due to the blue sealant and the plastic oil pan/plug the dealership used. Made an appointment at the dealership and wasn’t able to get in until today. Now… Today (8/13), I explained the situation and got it serviced, and they charged me $453 to replace the oil pan and filter. They refused accountability/responsibility. 

On the invoice, the technician literally wrote: *"Confirmed another shop broke the insert for the oil drain plug; oil pan needs to be replaced..."*

But that’s the fucking problem… jiffy refused service and wouldn’t even touch my car!! and i didn’t take it anywhere else!! I have the official carfax history and previous dealership receipts proving that this exact dealership performed my last oil change, meaning they are the "other shop" that broke it and glued it shut with blue silicone to hide the damage until today.

When I went to get my old parts as evidence, they couldn't produce them because the tech had left, but I forced the service advisor to sign a note confirming I requested them. I already have an open corporate claim with Nissan Customer Affairs and plan to file a credit card chargeback with Capital One once the pending charge posts.

Has anyone successfully fought a dealership on this "blame a fictional shop" tactic? Any advice on dealing with Nissan corporate for goodwill reimbursement, or should I take this straight to Wisconsin small claims/DATCP?

Dealership stripped my oil pan insert, glued it shut with blue RTV, and now charging me $453 to replace it. What are my options?
