Getting in my car issue. What’s going on.
So like a week and about half ago I noticed my key fob was taking maybe like 4 clicks to open. So I thought maybe my key Leo fob was dying but Monday I tried to get in I pressed for like 2 minutes and nothing. I remembered I was givin a spare key and I thought if the key fob is dying this one should be good (since it’s never been used since I bought my car December 2021 it’s a Kia soul 2022) well I went and got it and it still didn’t open and then I pressed my original key and it let me in. Yesterday I pressed for like a minute and it didn’t let me in. I held the button that looks like it unlocks my truck (it never has idk if it just doesn’t work) well I held it and then I pressed the unlock and it let me in. Today it was having the same issue I pressed for like a minute it wasn’t letting me in again so I held that trunk button again and pressed unlock, and it let me in. Let me also state this issue only happens when I go to my car in the morning. I work like 10.5 hour shifts and everything is easy to get into when I go to work. My car was parked for like 11 hours Monday and Tuesday and that’s when the fob became more of a problem getting in. Which is the same amount of time I’m at work. So what’s going on with this situation? Because I thought the new fob would work but it was the same issue. Like I know relatively the keys are the same age, but I didn’t use the other one because it was a spare so you would think it would act like a new one and the issue that I’m having doesn’t seem to be an old fob issue. it seems really weird.
