Nipple piercing and polyester bras

Hello everyone! I’m planning on getting my nipples pierced next months. My chest is probably A or a B cup so i didn’t wear bras for years, i literally don’t own any besides two synthetic sport bras i wear to the gym.

I’ve been reading about people’s experiences and many prefer to wear sport bras in the beginning. It seems kinda counterintuitive to me because synthetic fabrics are known for trapping moisture, restricting airflow and being a breeding ground for bacteria in general. It seems like wearing a sport bra might make a fresh piercing more prone to infections? Or maybe i don’t get something?

Also i don’t really like the idea of wearing bras, i’m way more comfortable without one. Are there anyone who got through their healing process without a bra? Or should i get a few before getting the piercing? Maybe just a tight fitting t-shirt would work?
