Honest thoughts on Real Estate Agents

Buying & Selling

Hey Reddit,

Looking for some honest thoughts from actual Buyers and Seller’s out here in the marketplace

I’m an agent myself and to give some context im a 30M and work in QLD and have been in the industry for about four years. I’m about to go start another company where I have a bit more freedom and I do things the way I’d like to do it. As there’s so many things I’ve seen and unfortunately been apart of that I don’t agree with me ethically or morally.

And to be clear I’m not here looking to argue or defend agents or the industry. There are so many issues out there and most people’s frustration are very valid.

Im looking for the actual thoughts and opinions of the market (buyers and sellers) as being in the industry for so long I forget what it was like being outside of it.

I’m open to a full discussion, the below questions might be a good way to get the chat going!

  1. As a Buyer & Seller

A) What frustrates you the most about real estate agents?

B) What about the buying & selling process would you want to change?

C) What makes an agent great in your eyes?

D) Did the agents attitude/general demeanour affect how much you paid for the property or did you just buy the best value for money?

Throw stuff at me everyone, would love to just get your general thoughts!!
