I said something I regret to my ex, how do I move on?
I’m a 26F, one month out of a 7-year relationship. We ended amicably because we’re emotionally different and want different things for our futures. We’ve stayed on good terms but haven’t talked consistently.
We broke up once before, and last time we were very open about how much we missed each other. This time he seems much more okay with the breakup, which has gotten in my head. I always feared he didn’t love me with the depth I wanted, so seeing him seemingly fine makes me question how much I really meant to him—especially since we were close to marriage.
I recently texted him trying to get clarity, but it didn’t help. I ended up sharing some of those anxious thoughts, then immediately apologized and acknowledged it wasn’t fair to assume how he feels. Now he hasn’t responded, and I’m worried I made things weird. I don’t want to text again, but I hate the thought of us ending on a bad note. How do I mentally move past this and stop spiraling?
