Brand new to the game. What should I do?

I’m on paternity leave right now and have a LOT of late nights where I’m sitting holding a baby. Figured I’d give a new game a try. I’m in the tutorial now meeting the teacher. It’s a bit slow and boring so far, but does it pick up? Anything I should be keeping in mind as a newb
