Going to Saturdays Game With My Kid

Should we get there early or just plan to get there before game time? Is traffic or parking difficult for preseason? Anything we must do for fun before or during the game? My kid doesn't really know the difference between preseason and regular season so she's just happy to be going but I want to make sure she has a great time.
