I Really Like Pretending to Be Other People On Reddit for Literally No Reason... AMA

And I can't really stop....

Mostly it is people that I know.

I will take some of my close friends, boyfriend, mom, dad and create whole internet "lives" about them on Reddit... like when my dad tells me his car broke or some personal whatever... I will make a post about it on reddit asking for help or advice... and over time, my "dad" account now has like 50+ posts.... but I have this for most major important people in my life.

Sometimes I will give whatever advice or input Redditors gave me to them....

But.. like... I "try on" different scenarios with them.. like on my "Mom" I "tried on" a "my husband is divorcing me after 30+ years" mostly because I wanted to know how it would feel.

My parents have a wonderful marriage.

I never do this out of malice, and sometimes my post get 0 upvotes or views, it does not bother me....

When people get mad or angry at me, I do feel bad.... and when I DO get a lot of attention/etc I tend to delete the post because I feel anxious I am going to get "caught" even though its all online and just a bunch of pixels...

The weird truth is I actually have a really exciting and fulfilling/interesting life that if I spelled out on here, people would THINK I was lying....

I have 15 accounts, and I check every one at least once a week.

Sometimes, I get mixed up and post the wrong thing on the wrong account and then an internet sleuth figures it out.

In fact, my "real" account where I am most honest about who I actually am is accidentally littered with these other "accidental" posts, so it is the one people accuse of being "fake" most often...

It literally is not for attention or upvotes or subs or anything... I just like seeing how people respond to life circumstances different than my own and I like literally putting myself in other peoples shoes.

To add: my boyfriend knows I do this and so do a few other close people in my life.
