Do you think that my project could go urban

So i have recently bought a bike, nothing special, 2005 full steel frame, no absorbers simple V brakes, 26' wheels and an idea, i took absorbers from my old bike and installed them on it i have also fixed them so that they work nicely because they were rough, there is a plan to change handlebars because this ones are to me personally too small, paint it in some other color, maybe but just maybe install disks i don't think they are worth it cause it's 20+ years old bike in pretty solid state not gonna lie. So do you guys think that it could do most of the stuff that modern bikes do?
