Digital collector noob questions

I have bough a lot of 4ks and Blurays and never used any digital codes and I would like to eventually use them an ecosystem other than my 5.1 physical setup.

My plan would be to get an Apple ecosystem (Apple TV, 2X Homepods and a pair of Apple AirPods Max.

• I picked Apple because I heard that for a digital setup, it's pretty much the best there is when talking about compression and HD to 4k upgrades... Is that right? If no, what would be the best?
• If I'm to use the codes for Apple TV, where should I use them? In the app directly? I also found there some websites that can be linked to Apple TV... Though I heard that Movies Anywhere doesn't work for Canadians... So what would be the alternatives?

TLDR: Is Apple TV the best palce to store digital movie codes? If yes, what is the best way to use them?
