Does this seem like a reason to switch to Gentlease?
I’m currently waiting for my pediatrician to message me back, but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced something similar with their baby.
My baby girl is 3 weeks and 3 days old, and since last night she has been waking up straining really hard to poop, crying, and seeming uncomfortable she does a little cry in her sleep sometimes also that seems like discomfort. She has also been farting A LOT. 😂 I’m a first-time mom, so I honestly don’t know what’s considered normal when it comes to newborn gas!
She’s currently drinking the regular Enfamil yellow formula. She’s eating normally, having normal-looking soft poops, and otherwise seems okay. It’s mainly the sudden fussiness, straining, and gas that has me concerned. Every time she wakes up, she seems to be trying to poop or pass gas and gets upset. She does eventually settle after getting a bottle.
I’m wondering if this sounds like something that could benefit from switching to Enfamil Gentlease, or if this is just normal newborn digestion/straining that she may grow out of.
Has anyone else’s baby gone through something similar around 3–4 weeks old? Did you switch formulas, stay on the same one, or was it something else?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences! ❤️
