Cross selling targets

Why do senior dogs always pressure to do cross selling ? Despite they won't get any extra commissions , gifts or trips etc.... as per guidelines .

I have seen they are mentioning bring FD or ULIPS anything to reach target but ulips doesn't helps in deposits and they even won't get any commission too
