Third Year student in Uoft Seeking for law school - Low CGPA - expecting high LSAT & so much extracurricular
Hello everyone,
I wanted to share my story with all of you - I am third year student in Uoft studying political science and history — my first 2 years of study has been extremely challenging duo to extenuating circumstances in my life - I had experienced extreme anxiety and depression such as panic attacks, & worse mental illness which affected my studies.
I immigrated to Canada 4 years ago from Palestine, I basically flew war & my education has been disrupted by war for many years. After coming to Canada & enrolling in Uoft - I had to work so hard to adjust and accepted accommodate my family.
I always had believe that graduate school would be my next step after Undergraduate but as I see the job market - law school seems to be next option to build my career and elevate my lifestyle.
Prior of high school, I started working in local community service and volunteering for many NGO’s. Through this social work, I got chance to represent Canada in international conference such as United nation and many more around the globe. I have also served with International organizations as Youth advisor and also completed 2 fellowships.
I am looking forward to graduate with CGPA of 3.0 or higher — I do understand that many law schools consider 2 L / B2 marks for law school application & Higher LSAT
Based on these information & looking forward to deliver my best performance in upcoming 2 years ??? Do I stand a chance in Ontario Law schools ???
Does soft skills or experiences matter ???
