Worth playing again?

So I've been playing this game from before X and I start and stop on and off. I have multiple master characters on NA and EU. none are full +15 or crazy builds like I've seen here. but I don't have crazy amount of time to play and grind like I use too. and I've never played in groups. (because of time). is it worth trying to find a clan/group to play with or is solo still viable in the north and wild north?
