Crossing from BC to WA, using a truck with construction tools in the truck bed.

My bf and I are planning on crossing the border for a daytrip using his only vehicle- his truck. He works construction but it’s his own truck and not a company owned vehicle.

The thing is, he leaves all his tools in the truck because he doesn’t have any other storage for it. We’re talking power tools, a ladder, stackable dewalt containers, etc.

It’s not our first time crossing the border but this will be the first time we’re planning to cross with his truck. All other times we had family/friends drive. Is a truck full of construction tools a red flag? He’s a Canadian citizen and I’m a PR. Any experiences or advice is appreciated!!!
