I’m a man, and I have difficult hair to cut (very fine with several cowlicks, but it can be done if the stylist takes their time, which rarely happens). After the cut when they ask me “how it looks” or “how’s the length,” should I just start being honest with them and tell them it sucks?

Cut Help

Getting a hair cut is the bane of my existence. I often come out feeling like my hair looks worse than it did when I went it. Very rarely do I get a hair cut and honestly think it looks great. I have had great haircuts so I know the difference. I don’t want to be a Karen, but I have a hard time understanding why it’s so difficult for someone to slow down and take their time (or maybe cutting hair is difficult and only very skilled stylists are capable of making my hair look good?)

I usually go to places like sportclips or Supercuts so that could be part of my problem (even though I’ve occasionally gotten good cuts from places like that). Maybe they aren’t getting paid enough to really care? Any opinions or advice on how I can get better hair cuts?
