Is he not interested?

Hey guys so | 20F went on a date with a guy 23M that i've known for a while. Some context for our situation. Me and this guy have known eachother for two years and about two years ago | asked for his number but he had a girlfriend at the time so obviously he turned me down. Flash forward to recent I broke up with my latest ex and this guy started talking to me now and he asked me for my number and I ended up leaving our mutual job and he asked me to go out.
We went on a date and had a really fun time or I thought so at least but we didn't go out again. Which might've been on me because I thought he was being dry so | just liked his messages and didn't say anything. Flash forward two months later he asks me to go out again and it goes even better this time and he's just really sweet and making plans for our next date. He texts me first after and we've been texting regularly for a few days after. I told him I can't do this weekend because I'll be out of town but I can do the week after. He hasn't brought up making plans and i'm just worried it's gonna go again like last time. He's a bit introverted but Im not sure if that would have anything to do with it. I just don't want to pursue anything if he's genuinely just not interested.
Should I wait and see if he brings up another date after i get back from my weekend trip or should I text him and see what's going on?
