I feel led on. Was he cheating?

I Need Advice 😩

27F. Started seeing a coworker 27M back in June. He was persistent, followed me on my socials, and eventually we went on a date.

Date went well. We got matcha. Then he basically wanted me to pick what else we should do for the rest of the day, which disappointed me because I was hoping he planned something more. I guess that's his way of getting to know me. So we went bowling then had dinner. It was good overall. But since he didn't plan anything else, I asked if it was a date or if we were going out as friends. He just told me that the man is supposed to pay, which didn't answer my question.

After the date, I felt closer to him, but I also kept my distance since he wasn't direct in answering my question. He didn't plan another date, he claimed he was busy. He does work two jobs so I believed him. I also felt that I intimidated him. He's a busser. I'm a server that's about to quit to start my nursing career. He's been to the U.S. for two years and he's trying to start somewhere so I'm not going to job-shame him.

Anyways, life happened and I got injured. I quit my serving job. I didn't tell him, since he wasn't consistent by then. He never reached out until 3 weeks ago asking where I've been. Suddenly he was checking in on me daily and telling me once I'm better he would take me on all these dates.

After a week of being persistent, the last night we chatted he told me he would text me next day, then never did. I saw on his Instagram story that he was on vacation with another girl... So that's when I knew he just wasn't interested. Shortly after he made it official on social media with this girl.

It makes me wonder, has he been in a relationship this whole time? Before our date his WhatsApp messages disappeared and his other socials were private and had no information about him.

Do I confront him if he ever reaches out? I mean if you're planning on making your relationship official, you would stop entertaining others, no? How do I handle this? My plan is to not do anything unless he reaches out, but I'm open to advice.
