Uneven frontlight on the Ocean BW

Hi everyone,

I recently bought the Musnap Ocean Black & White and was really happy with it at first — build quality, screen, responsiveness, everything seemed perfect.

However, when I tried using it in the dark, I noticed the frontlight is noticeably brighter on the button side of the screen. It creates an uneven glow that’s pretty distracting when reading at night.

I thought it was just a defective unit, so I returned it and ordered a replacement. Unfortunately, the new one has the exact same issue.

Now I’m wondering: is this a known/common problem with all Musnap Ocean units, or did I just get unlucky twice? I’d rather not go through another return if it’s a design flaw affecting the whole batch.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Ocean BW? Should I try a third replacement or just look for a different device?
