S3 Ep2 idol culture representation

sorry for the relatively vague title, but i wanted to keep it as spoiler free as possible for anyone wanting to avoid info abt the new episodes 😭

firstly, OH MY GOD guys i am a WRECK. i cried sm watching these first two episodes :(( our poor boys

and secondly, watching all the stuff happening to felix is especially heartbreaking as a kpop stan because it directly parallels how some idols actually get treated. >!the scene where the lady asks about calling him a kitty and asks him to meow for her!< has actually happened at least once to a real idol. some fans are crazy 😭😭🫩 and seeing him being forced to essentially give fan service and do all this pretending when hes clearly uncomfortable. ugh :((

other kpop stans in this sub, how are we feeling about this ?? it made it sm more sad for me watching and realizing the parallels between felix and real idols that have to deal w things similar to this.

this season is going to have me in shambles by the end i just know it lmao 🥲
