Disturbing intrusive thoughts
So I’m not diagnosed with OCD, but I’m autistic and got a couple other things going on. When I’m really upset about something, often something I see on social media that upsets me I tend to get way more upset than most people probably would.
An example of this is transphobia, as I’m a trans woman so whenever I see that stuff on TikTok or whatever it really pisses me off. I get very violent thoughts and tend to start saying slurs in my head when I’m upset at them just cause they’re the worst words I can think of to let off steam. I tend to think of ways I would hurt the person.
Obviously I’m not actually gonna do that but it has led me to reply to people with incoherent rants that as I’m typing I know are crazy and accomplish nothing, and regardless of what a person said I still feel bad if I say something equally as bad as them.
It’s like as if when I get really upset, I have very little control over my emotions. Of course when interacting with people in real life it’s different but on the internet there’s just enough anonymity that I go nuts and get so overly pissed off at people.
