Is wow worth it for new players?

Ive never played, but I used to watch my uncle play as a kid and always wanted to play. I finally got a pc 18 years later and Im wondering if it’s worth playing. Id basically be starting at 0 for knowledge of anything.

Also wanted to ask because I dont have an insane amount of time to dump into the game.

If I do hop on, any tips?
