Has anyone ever tried to make their own version of the manga?

I honestly would like to see a fanmade redrawing and retelling of the manga, with all the necessary fixes to the story and characters. I know I'm asking for an outright miracle, but it certainly would be a massive help to anyone including me, who struggles or outright gave up on reading the manga.
