Looking for some camper van/rv tips
Looking for some last minute tips. I'm feeling pretty good about where my setup is at, this will be my first burn so i'm sure i'll learn all the things I planned wrong. But heres a few thoughts and I could use some input.

Tips for the bathroom? It sounds like its suggested you don't use the indoor toliet, use the portos, if you go #1 use a jug and dump it in the portos? I was thinking about trying to get the tanks dumped mid week but have seen a lot of people mention smells in the heat. i've used my toilets plenty in the past without smell issue but i never sit in one spot in the heat for a week....

Shower usage and grey water. My tanks are fairly small so if i'm not getting a dump mid week i'm wondering if I should try and catch water at least from the shower. (ill aim to baby wipe bath, but i might trickle some water here and there). I have a shower pan, is there a good option for collecting that water to take out to a evap pond?

I have a fantastic van vent on the roof, like pretty much every rv. Is there a simple solution anyone has come up with to add an air filter to that vent to cut down on dust?

My fridge isn't that big, like 2.5cu ft. I'm thinking maybe I get a second cooler and freeze as much as I can and keep that cooler sealed up till mid week. Put fresher stuff in the fridge and then move things mid week from the frozen cooler into the fridge? Alternative is to get one of the plug in coolers?

I'm going to have a backup swamp cooler situation. But the ideal goal would be able to run my onan 2800 gen in the mornings so I can get some AC for some sleep. It just works so much better than the swamp cooler. However my generator is in the middle under my van, aka totally inaccessible. So i can't change out filters or anything, and i'm also just generally concerned about running it that long in the heat. I run it for an hr here and there for cooking purposes (air fryer inside, induction cooker outside) but i've never run it daily for 4hrs in the heat... Anyone else had an experience with an onan in the heat with high load of an AC and how were the results?
