playing the song you chose every other song

is it just me experiencing this, but when i go to a playlist and choose a specific song i wanna play, it ends up playing that song every after the other, even when it's not queued up and its on shuffle.

so its like:

chosen song
random song on playlist
chosen song
random song on playlist
chosen song
random song on playlist
chosen song

anyone else experiencing this? idk why this happens. my spotify is up to date with the updates
