How to fix slow camera on Pixel 10 Pro XL?

I'm on a trip where I'm wanting to take tons of pictures but it's been painful to use this damn phone as my main camera. After taking a single photo the shutter button takes forever to reload making it useless in situations where I need to get quick photos.

Does anyone know of a fix or is this just the way it is? I'm on Android 17 without the update that was just released hours ago.
