Help with claim

Hi I was a pedestrian hit by a car on the way home I suffered extreme bruising to my shoulder, sprained wrist, fractured finger, concussion and facial/ neck bruising I was treated at the hospital for this. The girl who hit me said she’d pay to replace my broken items, headphones, glasses, bike, but has not. She contacted the police but due to her promising she’d pay the financial side I told them
I didn’t want to press charges, it’s been 3 days and she’s not replied to me do I go through insurance?
