Being dark skinned in a “fair” town sucks.

I live in a town where tall white men are the standard of beauty (like most cities I guess but especially here), and the women here make it known. I’m a self reflective type of person so I spent years trying to decode what was wrong with me and what I was doing… then I went to other cities. Night and fucking day. Same guy, same personality, mad different results.

Dark skin just isn’t appreciated in the city I’m in as much as other places. Different strokes different folks, it is what it is. Soon as I save enough I’m getting the fuck out. 10 years of feeling like an afterthought in the dating pool is enough.
