My back pain is spreading and changing
Had back pain for over 10 years. Nothing has ever been discovered except inflammation and a bulging disc.
Pain was predominantly lower right and into the thigh. It would occur when I was on my feet a lot.
So, I changed my lifestyle. Lost weight, got fitter but the pain is the same except now it's changing. It's travelling to the centre of my spine moving side to side, while having pain at the lower area, and moving up towards the bottom of my neck.
The normal hellish ache all over is now being combined with a stinging pain as well (always in the middle). It now hurts when I walk, in fact it hurts when I do anything.
Had an MRI last year and x ray but nothing was found. I'm on 15mg co codamol, back up to 30mg recently. It gives me some relief which I'm thankful for.
I've tried many other methods from the traditional NHS stretches to a tens machine, massage, acupuncture and heat patches.
The daily constant pain is now affecting my mental health which was already in a poor state. I told all this to my doctor last week and I've been referred back to the physio.
I'm really tired of it all. Very little sleep and it affects every part of my life every day.
