My teenager pointed out something I completely stopped noticing

My daughter had a few friends over last weekend and afterward she casually mentioned our upstairs bathroom felt "really old." At first I laughed because it's perfectly functional, but then I walked in later and realized she's kind of right. The lighting is terrible, the shower always feels dark and everything looks worn out even though nothing is technically broken. It's strange how you stop seeing your own house after living in it long enough. Has anyone else had their kids point out something you completely tuned out?
