Need Help - Left PG without paying electricity bill.

recently left a PG without paying around ₹12,000 in electricity charges. There was no written agreement, and my security deposit was already adjusted.

The owner has shown me the electricity bill and is now repeatedly calling me and threatening to file a police complaint/FIR if I don't pay. He also has a copy of my Aadhaar card.

I'm mainly worried about whether he can actually file an FIR against me and, more importantly, whether this could affect my job/career or show up in a background verification.

Has anyone experienced something similar in India? What can the owner realistically do in this situation?
