Why?

Point I: It's Cheap
At only 8,500,000 Credits, the Nebulon-B can easily be bought in bulk to compound its decent stats into to support larger ships or just swarm the enemy with Nebulons.

Point II: Fighters for days
The Nebulon-B Carries two whole squadrons of fighters, which although remarkable for its size is small in comparison to dedicated carriers. But combined with the low cost can balloon the fighter count of fleets for just a few Nebulons. For example 6 Nebulons alone can carry two whole wings of fighters (144)

Point III: Multipurpose Fire Support
The Nebulon-B carries 12x Laser cannons for shooting down enemy fighters, making it a good screening vessel in addition to its carrier role.
But my favorite part of the Nebulon-B is the 12x Medium Turbolasers. Not the innacurate but powerful Heavy Turbolasers of larger warships, or the pidley but accurate turbolasers of corvettes, the Medium Turbolasers boasts serviceable power without sacrificing much accuracy, allowing it to serve in both a anti-capital fire support role and as a corvette hunter.

Point IV: It's Durable
Contrary to popular belief the Nebulon-B is exceptionally durable. It sports a fifth of the shields and armor of an Imperial-I Star Destroyer. And although the thin spine is a weak point, this weakness is only present on the stripped down version of the Nebulon-B. The Nebulon-B in its prime sports no such weakness

The Nebulon-B is the best Frigate and I will take no questions
