How would you feel if someone you don’t know personally followed you on social media sites?

So, there’s this guy I have a crush on. We’re technically strangers because we’ve never actually talked or interacted, but we’re familiar with each other because we see each other around pretty often.

We work in different offices, so it’s not like we’re coworkers or anything. We’ve never really said hi to each other, but I’m pretty sure he recognizes me and I definitely recognize him.

I recently found his Instagram and I really want to follow him, but I’m scared he might find it weird or wonder how I even found his account. 😭

If you were in his position, would you find it weird if someone you’re familiar with but don’t actually know followed you? Or would you just think, “Oh, I know this person,” and move on?

I’m probably overthinking this, but I need outside opinions before I make a fool of myself.
