Is foreplay sinning?

What are your thoughts on foreplay? Is it a sin? I understand sex is for marriage. And I don’t see foreplay being fornication. The greek word for fornication is porneia. From my research, I can’t find foreplay being included as formation and I’m really confused so I’m what’s why I’m asking.
