Discord update infinite loop

hello, i was on discord today and it was lagging and wouldn’t close from the actual app so i removed it from the task manager page, when i tried relaunching it after restarting my computer it kept looping the update and retrying to download it. at one point i got tired of waiting and deleted discord from my pc (every singular file related to it) i then tried reinstalling it but it did the same thing, i restarted my computer multiple times and still nothing, i did two youtube tutorials, i reset my cache and still nothing, it just tries to update. can anyone please help me? i just wanna use discord to call my friends.
