China Trip February 2027

My friends and I are planning a trip to China for February 2027 (15 days).

For the trip, Beijing and Chongqing are non-negotiable, and we are really excited to check out both cities. 

One of our main goals for the trip is to go snowboarding, and we are considering either snowboarding just outside of Beijing (Chongli) and potentially around Jilin (not sure if Chongli or Jilin is better for snowboarding). We’ve also considered Hemu, however, this is very far from the destinations we are planning to visit, and we don’t want to waste too much time. I’m hoping someone can give some advice on how best to snowboard in China and which places have the most consistent powder. 

Lastly, I have made a list of other destinations we might visit, and not sure which are best/most recommended to see during our trip. The list is below.

• Chengdu
• Shanghai 
• Hainan 
• Shenzhen
• Xi’an 
• Changsha
• Zhangjiajie 
• Guangzhou

Given we are already visiting Beijing, Chongqing, and somewhere to snowboard, which 2-3 cities/destinations would be most worth visiting in February?
