If you were starting with Excel today, would you still approach it the same way?**
I’m curious how experienced Excel users think about the way Excel is used today versus when they first started.
If you were starting from zero today, would you approach Excel the traditional way — learning formulas, functions, shortcuts, PivotTables, VBA, etc. and gradually building up your knowledge?
Or would you use newer tools such as Copilot/AI to help build formulas, explain functions, automate repetitive tasks, analyze data, etc., and learn the underlying Excel concepts as you go?
For those of you who use AI with Excel already, what parts do you actually find useful, and where do you think it falls short?
