Playing this years Leagues as a f2p player is... honestly fine, but it comes with a few huge headaches.

Just got Tier 3 in so you can definitely make progress, but pushing for those points gets annoying fast.

The biggest issue by far is with the task list. Neither the in-game interface nor the Wiki nor the popular guides on https://rs.runeleagues.com/ give you a way to filter for f2p tasks. You end up scrolling endlessly through p2p tasks just to find an handful of things you can do. It sucks really bad and completely slows down your momentum, especially on mobile..

On top of that, region unlocks feel pretty punishing. As f2p, you're already playing with limited content, so getting fewer region choices on top of that makes the world feel extremely small, very fast.

Wendlewick really saves the f2p experience. Even though you can only do a couple of things there as f2p, it gives the feeling of having a lot of extra space and adds several activities I usually took for granted. Wendlewick is actually essential for getting tuna, lobster, and swordfish since you can't access Karamja without Port Sarim / Asgarnia or choosing Void relic. Also, Ivar is now the only boss you can kill with the mole and kbd being locked out.

*TLDR: Overall, it’s an okay experience if you just want to jump in, but the total lack of f2p task filters makes the grind way more tedious than it needs to be.*

Cheers
