My own experience with girls as a middle eastern man

I live in the Middle East, specifically in Iraq. Before university, there was no mixing of boys and girls; schools were segregated. The only beautiful girl I saw before university was my cousin Zahraa. I was very attracted to her; she had Asian features despite being Iraqi, which made her stand out. Unfortunately, I didn't have the courage to confess my feelings because I felt she wouldn't be attracted to a shy boy like me. Later, I entered university and studied agricultural sciences. In my class, there was a girl named Asmaa. She was slim and petite, with a slightly upturned nose and a calm, soothing voice. I couldn't confess my feelings to her face-to-face because her female friends were always with her, so I messaged her through social media. She rejected me, but I still hoped she would change her mind, though nothing changed. Later, in my third year, a new student named Hadi transferred to our university. He was quite playful. Just two days after he arrived at our university, Hadi and Asmaa started hanging out together. The girl who had rejected me, the one I had dreamed of winning for months, was captured by that guy in just two days. This perfectly illustrates the vast difference between us. The strange thing is that Hadi left Asmaa after a while and started hanging out with another girl, meaning that the girl of my dreams, the one I never had, was just an amusing experiment for him, nothing more. After graduating from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, I decided to enroll in the Faculty of Education, specifically the English Department. There, of course, I met new students. I was excelling in my studies, and there was a girl named Zahraa who would ask me about my answers after every exam. Her conversations with me made me develop feelings for her, and I started trying to get closer to her. However, I noticed that her behavior towards me on ordinary days was different from how she acted when she asked me for answers; she was cold towards me. So, I concluded that she was only being nice to me to get what she wanted, nothing more. After that, I developed a crush on another girl in my class named Fatima. She was unsociable and didn't laugh much, but I liked that because it made her seem mysterious and unique. She was also slim and graceful. At that time, my male classmates started proposing to their female classmates, and the girls were accepting. So I thought that maybe if I proposed to Fatima instead of confessing my feelings, she would accept me. My family was financially well-off and had a house ready for us to move into, so I thought this would make Fatima agree. I asked one of my classmates to broach the subject of marriage with Fatima, but as soon as she found out it was me who wanted to propose, she refused immediately. After that, I thought about my cousin Zahra, so I asked my mother to ask for her hand in marriage for me, but Zahra refused, saying she was busy with her studies. After all this rejection, I no longer see girls the same way and I no longer believe in love. You know what? I think I'll become rich in a few years. If I really do become rich, I'll marry several wives (and this is a luxury you Western men don't have 😬) to satisfy my instincts because my instincts are all that's left and love no longer exists.
