Scheduled Uber was 30 min late, almost caused me to miss my flight, then charged me €24.00

Long story short, I scheduled an Uber pickup to the airport in advance. The driver accepted, but then it turned out they couldn’t arrive in time. They weren’t moving, and the time of arrival kept creeping later, and later, and later. Eventually they were going to arrive 30 minutes after my scheduled pick up time! To avoid missing my flight, I cancelled and took a taxi. Uber then charged me €24.00 for cancelling, despite the fact that their driver was 7 miles away, not making any progress, and incredibly late. The driver was clearly incompetent. Despite endangering my flight there is no hope of getting this charge waived through Uber’s bleak Soviet stonewalling website.

Avoid Uber, they are a scam.
