The 1 Year Anniversary of Eli Lilly Taking The Piss 😆

I believe today marks 1 year since the news broke about the price rise! I remember it well, barely 6 months into my adventure and I'm at work in the pharmacy as normal, then we get an email with the info 😫 Cue panic!

This marked the beginning of a very busy period on the sub! And a lot of people switching to Wegovy, many of who later returned. New starters these days don't know how good we had it! 😆

With Foundayo having been recently approved, for those who are struggling with the cost, just a little PSA from what we've learnt since then.

If you're going to switch:

• Remember Wegovy and Foundayo are just GLP1, they don't contain GIP.
• Make sure you're being switched to an equivalent strength, a lot were fooled by pharmacies who started them on the lowest strength of Wegovy and they had to work all the way up to feel anything.
• Check the prices, 5mg Mounjaro is very similar in cost to 2.4mg Wegovy injections, makes sense to stay with Mounjaro there. Find the equivalent for the pills if you can.
• Hate to say it but be prepared for it to not be as effective, and that if you return to Mounjaro you'll likely need to get to where you were before to feel anything.
